珊瑚礁

Posted in Uncategorized on February 25, 2009 by Markthewild

Posted in Blog on February 22, 2009 by Markthewild

烦。

Redscale Negative

Blackbird, fly – Test Roll, Redscale negative, 35mm ISO 100, F11 : 1/125

f10000211 f1000015 08 07

With alot of anxiety and anticipation waiting for my first roll of redscales to be developed, Paid an extra $3 for express service at Konota(expensive). When I saw the end-product, a cheek to cheek grin. There was also a fair deal of disappointing prints but all in all – “I love my blackbird, fly!”

Alot of interesting results appeared from redscale negatives, not all would turn out in total redscale, I have no idea why this would happen. Some turned out like super old retro photos with the nice natural vignetting, some turned out blueish. ISO 100 films don’t work well in low light indoor conditions, even with prolonged bulb exposure. Alot of photos from my office x’mas gathering didn’t turn out too well either.

It’s the whole purpose of lomography isn’t it, the unpredictability, strong colors, vignetting, lotsa fun! I’m bringing this bird on every travel from now.

Blackbird, fly

Posted in Blog, Photography, Review on December 16, 2008 by Markthewild

Finally the blackbird is in my hands, efficient speed from 8storeytree I got it within 2 days.

I’ve ran a roll Fuji Superia 200 through it, about 70% of it was disappointing, I was actually very happy with the rest of it! nice vignetting and vivid colors. Yeah I threw the 70% aside.

A very happy and satisfied buy, I will post some pics as soon as I can and am also gonna try to run some redscales through it too.

Organizer

Posted in Blog on November 25, 2008 by Markthewild

Just had the urge to note this down somewhere that I love my phone so much! It does everything for me, almost. I used to think the GPS would only work in Singapore and no where else, but I was wrong. taking down quick notes of things i had to remember and finding them no longer required me to rack my brains sorting and sieving out details.

Even better the quality of the camera and video cam isnt that shabby either, recording memories… It’s like everything goes into this little gadget. When I’m in a rush for time, the voice recorder or voice notes does the job on the fly…

The daily voice weather report kicks ass, tells me when to bring an umbrella. And best of all MSN, email and internet on the go is just perfect for me. when i chill at a cafe reading a book i leave them on, at no cost (Since i usually tap on the cafe’s wireless).

I really wonder what I would do if i lost you…

You keep my life organized.

And yeah this post is made from E71

Management Lesson

Johnny wanted to have sex with a girl in his office, but she belonged to someone else…

One day, Johnny got so frustrated that he went up to her and said, “I’ll give you a $100 if you let me have sex with you. But the girl said NO.

Johnny said, “I’ll be fast. I’ll throw the money on the floor, you bend down, and I’ll be finished by the time you pick it up. “

She thought for a moment and said that she would have to consult her Boyfriend… So she called her boyfriend and told him the story.

Her boyfriend says, “Ask him for $200, pick up the money very fast, he won’t even be able to get his pants down.”

So she agrees and accepts the proposal. Half an hour goes by, and the boyfriend is waiting for his girlfriend to call.

Finally, after 45 minutes, the boyfriend calls and asks what happened.
She responded, “The bastard used coins!”

Management Lesson: Always consider a business proposal in its entirety before agreeing to it and getting screwed!

Monday Madness: First Big Loss

Posted in Blog on October 13, 2008 by Markthewild

So I went up to Asian Poker Network today down at N Road, nice sight. A few pros on the table, bought in 400, took it quite well, played it moderately tight, with some ups and downs. I reckon it would be a good experience.

I had a thought in my mind, albeit knowing the presence of mind affects optimal poker – that I was prepared to lose that much. I held back most parts, possibly good choices, i hit nothing and do not have the base for chasing cards.

Till I got a pocket 10.

Pre-Flop, I raised 20, 5 called

Flop – 10, King, Ace

I hit a trips!!
Frank hit 100, I followed, player B raised 125. 2 players folded

I raised All-In to that. Doing the math on the fly, I put player B on a dubs, odds of straight are reasonably lower and I would have regretted if i dont call a trips, my chance of hitting a full is greater with 16 high cards in my favour.

Turn – 7

Player B hits All-In on Frank, Frank called

Show cards – Player B (A, J) – Frank (K, Q) Player B hits a Straight.

He offered me a deuce but said he had to play, I gave it to him, as we all knew i still had at least 8-12 high cards in my favour of a full.

The River was a 6.

There we go, probably the biggest hand so far for me now :) 400, Pot 1k

The sad thing is I actually love the high and it doesnt help just after reading an article that all poker players are junkies for that high.
