Chrome review
After 2 days with the latest chrome browser released by Google I had mixed feelings about this and had my reservations. Here’s what I really liked about it though, the much boasted about optimized speed and individual browser tab processing really rocks. I keep a tons of bookmarks and pretty much opening all bookmarks in any browser even FF would hang the browser forever if not crash. I ran the same test on Chrome, it did take the browser a long time, but it didnt crash the whole thing, sites that took too long simply affected that individual tab, well my point is – it works.
I also like the unified browser window idea, Google’s like my favourite search engine followed by Yahoo, the address bar acting as a search bar as well makes my day, in FF or IE i would sometimes make the mistake of typing a URL in the google search field or vice versa, now I don’t have to worry about that anymore.
That’s pretty much the major parts i liked about it. Incognito mode and download manager didnt matter much to me as these can be done in other browser settings.
The cons really disturbs me though, since the browser is actually our best friend these days in the internet age, most people would accustom themselves to various shortcut keys etc, while I was trying to figure out what they were i realised Chrome doesnt have that many to start with, some important ones like full screen (the fact that i am a graphic designer matters) is missing . Also as mentioned since I have gazillion bookmarks, it absolutely irks me that they do not have a bookmark manager.
I would love this browser to bits if they had my bookmark manager and shortcuts done up. For now I’m sticking with mozilla, since it’s pretty much the same and I really do need to manage bookmarks. I bet it will not be long till they figure this out with it being open source and all. All in all, I say this is awesome work and I expect to see it becoming one of the more popular stable browsers in the scene in a matter of weeks.

there are so many advantages and features with Chrome, such as it’s speed, for example; now if only they would take care it’s flighty cookie management…
